Lisa Talbert is a married mother of two grown sons. She is a native and resident of upstate S.C., and she loves Jesus, her family, and her country. Her large extended family includes many military service members, active and retired, and her father is a veteran of the Air Force.
Her husband, oldest son, and his wife, are graduates of Clemson University, so she and her family are “All in!” Lisa, her youngest son, and his wife, are all three Anderson University alumni.

With a degree in merchandising, Lisa has owned and operated her own business for 28 years, during which time, she home schooled her children. She previously also spent time in the retail and the fitness industries, returning to her current role in the health insurance industry after her sons entered college. She loves her current position as it involves traveling and supporting clients throughout upstate counties.

She loves to teach and encourage, enjoying facilitating women’s Bible studies in her church for most of the last eleven years, and several years spent in the church worship choir. Lisa and her husband, Mike, enjoy traveling, attending musicals, concerts, and working together doing major home DIY projects. They regularly support several charities and love ‘giving back’ at every opportunity.

Lisa is a Constitutional Conservative, and believes that elected officials should support and defend the Constitution, and the people they represent, and that the primary role of government is defense.

She injects humor into as many areas of life as she can make it fit, as it is well known that stress causes wrinkles. Lisa does NOT camp and says that she has never met a rhinestone she does not like.

Her motto is ‘work hard, play hard’, and her goal is to live every day with this in mind: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5
